The H8SX/1600 series has the Renesas original high-speed, high-performance 32-bit CISC H8SX CPU core. Renesas has maintained object level compatibility with its conventional H8 and H8S products while increasing the maximum operating frequency to 50 MHz. Also, its features include easy connection to equipment by on-chip peripheral functions and large-capacity on-chip flash memory which supports increasing program sizes of enhanced systems. This series is well-suited for system control applications in both office equipment and consumer appliances. In order to support the increasing range of future applications, we will continue to develop strengthened on-chip peripheral functions and develop products with various on-chip memory units.
