The M16C/6N4 and M16C/6N5 groups contain a M16C/60 CPU core. These groups are ideally suited for high-speed (maximum 1 Mbps), large-traffic communication network applications because they have abundant peripheral functions and large-capacity buffers. The M16C/6N4 in particular contains 2-channel CANs and is therefore capable of delivering data between networks operating at different speeds.
