The Zilog Z84015 Intelligent Peripheral Controller (IPC) is a highly super-integrated 8-bit NMOS microprocessor combined with the CTC, SIO, CGC, WDT, and the PIO into a single 100-pin QFP package. It is well suited to a broad range of applications, ranging from error-correcting modems to enhancement/cost reductions of existing hardware using Z80-based discrete peripherals.
