For developers ofSTM8-based motor control applications, the STM8Smotor control starter kit (STM8/128-MCKIT) provides a complete development platform with all the hardware and software required to get applications started easily.

This starter kit is particularly suited to drive 3-phase brushless motors(either AC induction or permanent magnet types) based on scalar controls.Hardware and associated firmware libraries demonstrate how the STM8S can be used effectively in motor control applications.
The kit comes ready to run a PMSM motor (included) or AC induction motor(accessory). Simply power up the application hardware and you are ready to explore all the different parameters required to drive you rmotor in the following configurations:

  • Six-step drive with support for both Hall sensors and sensorless position feedback.
