The Cosmic ST7MC Starter Kit (ST7MC-KIT/BLDC) it a complete motor control development platform that allows you to:
• Demontrate the ST7FMC microcontroller's motor control features quickly and easily while running a BLDC or Induction motor by setting basic settings in an easy-to-use graphical interface.
• Evaluate motor control features by exploring various control strategies using the GUI to configure advanced settings. Save the settings by generating header files. Flash the ST7MC microcontroller, run the motor and apply changes to real-time settings and tune the drive parameters.
• Develop your own motor control application around the generated header files and the provided ST7MC optimized C software library (source code of the ST7MC kit firmware). Then debug your application using the included STXF-INDART in-circuit debugger/programmer (included).
Using the same hardware and firmware platform, it is possible to incorporate application-specific requirements by taking advantage of the inverter hardware board expansion features (UART/LIN port and transceiver, EEPROM, standalone operation potentiometers, sensor mode input, wrapping area etc.).
Applications can be built using the COSMIC (not included) and fine tuned using the ST7MDT50-EMU3 series emulator.
